在1973年邱在光會計師創立英國國際會計師公會（香港分會），由他擔任首任會長其後出任榮
譽顧問。由於貢獻良多，於2002年的週年晚宴上被授予榮譽會員。邱賢君會計師亦在2007年成
功當選為分會會長，在任期間他多次為政府各項政策諮詢提出意見及建議。於2008年他以分會
代表身份參加由時任特首曾蔭權先生帶領到東北三省的訪問團。
In 1973 the late Mr Richard C K Yau founded the Association of International Accountants of UK
(Hong Kong Branch) and was elected as the first branch President. Later he was invited as the
Hon Consultant for the Branch. In 2002, he was awarded as an honorary member at the Hong
Kong Branch annual dinner for his dedication to the Association. Mr Joseph Y K Yau was elected
as the President for the Branch in 2007 and was actively providing advisory and comments for
the government policies during his term of service. In 2008, he was invited together with other
elite delegates to join the HKSAR government’s mission to visit three Northeastern provinces led
by the then Chief Executive Mr Donald Tsang.
