在1972年邱在光會計師、林懷熙會計師及三十一位稅務專業人士，成立了香港稅務學會，主要
目的是促進業內會計師對稅務的興趣及探討。

從2013年至2015年，邱賢君會計師當選為香港稅務學會會長。在位期間出席不同的研討會，前
往國內考察及出訪各國並出席亞洲大洋洲稅務師年會，該會以國家或地區為會員。2020年，他
帶領的委員會和英國稅務學會終達成協議，讓香港認可稅務師可共用英國特許稅務師的名銜。

The late Mr Richard C K Yau, the late Mr W H Lam together with thirty one tax professionals
founded the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong in 1972 to promote taxation as a field of interest
and study for tax professionals. From 2013 to 2015, Mr Joseph Y K Yau was elected as the
President of the Institute. He represented the Institute to attend professional seminars,
conduct industry visits in the Mainland, and also meet delegates from Asian and Oceana
countries during AOTCA overseas annual meeting. In 2020, he led the CTA Recognition
Committee to reach an agreement with the UK Chartered Institute of Taxation for adopting
the title of Chartered Tax Advisor to be used by TIHK Certified Tax Advisors in Hong Kong.
