在1993年12月，邱賢君會計師當選為香港華人會計師公會的主席，該會已有一百多年的歷史，
為香港歷史最悠久的會計師公會。2013年12月拜訪北京期間，公會有幸在人民大會堂宴請國內
單位，以探索和國內各單位合作的機會。訪問團更罕有地入住釣魚台國賓館。在任期間，邱賢君
會計師致力於探討同業在工作上遇到的問題並尋求解決方法，藉此為同業服務。其中包括探討由
國內發出臨時執業牌照給香港執業單位，方便同業回國進行核數工作、邀請中國會計師公會主席
及副秘書長到香港講解國內會計行業及邀請國家稅務總局副局長到香港講解國內的稅務政策。

In late 1993, Mr Joseph Y K Yau was elected as the President of the Society of Chinese
Accountants and Auditors, a local accounting body with over one hundred years of history.
During a visit to Beijing in December 2013, the Society had the honour to hold a banquet in the
Great Hall of the People and invited other Mainland professional and government units in
seeking opportunities for future collaboration. The delegates had the rare chance to stay in
the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse during the visit.

In his term, he led the Society to initiate discussions on pressing issues in the accounting
industry and committed to look for suggestions and solutions such as issuance of temporary
auditing licences by the responsible authority to existing Hong Kong Practising Accountants to
perform auditing in Mainland China. He invited the President and the Secretary of the Chinese
Institute of Certified Public Accountants to deliver a presentation on the accounting industry in
Mainland China, and also the Deputy Director of the State Taxation Administration to give a talk
on China taxation in Hong Kong.
