RETROSPECT AND PROSPECT
My impression of Yau Sir was a very kind person but with majestic appearance. AN
Issac and Fred have not met Yau Sir as they are relatively new in our Company.
Would you like to share your impression of the Company’s current
management?
IC I remember I was nervous the first time I met with Mr Joseph Yau as he seemed
to be strict and authoritative. Later on I got to know better about Mr Yau after
working for him. He is a very competent executive, yet kind and also cares about
the younger staff in CKY.
FP Mr Yau is amiable and passionate about his work, and not only focuses on
pursuing profits and rewards. Mr Yau has retired but still pays close attention to
the firm’s operation on auditing and company secretarial services, as well as the
work quality of our colleagues.
Ms Yau has been in CKY since the previous days Yau Sir was in charge, until the AN
new generation of the family, including Mr Wilson Yau and Ms Annie Lai, joined
the management team. How do you feel about the development of CKY?
LY I am very proud to see everyone of us has been growing. It has been eight years
since I retired from CKY, in which I only visit CKY occasionally. I very much hope
that everyone can keep on learning and expanding their horizons in various
aspects. For example, in terms of fostering interpersonal relationships,
accountants are generally giving others an impression of being reserved and
conservative. It may be stereotypical that accountants are introverts, but I
highly encourage them to be more conversational, feel open to share and
exchange knowledge and experience, and step out of their comfort zone.
In all your opinion, what changes have incurred for the Company and on a AN
personal level? For me, the Company’s office size and number of staff keep
growing under the leadership of Mr Yau, which is a significant and impressive
transformation. I am fortunate to be able to participate in it and prosper
together with the Company.
SI I have similar thoughts as you. I remember the times when there were only
around fifteen employees and I felt the emptiness of stationing in the single-
floor office. Now that the Company has expanded to three floors and the space
seems still not enough to cater all colleagues. I admire Mr Yau and the
management team’s effort to develop the businesses and push through
acquisitions of various accounting practices. It is my hope that CKY’s
development will be continuous in the future.
