MESSAGE FROM OUR TEAMS

Words from Ms Yau Wan Wah Lindy

I would like to congratulate on the 60th anniversary of C K Yau &
Partners CPA Limited.

As a member of C K Yau & Partners CPA Limited, it is very honoured for
me to participate in the development and success of the accounting
firm over the past sixty years. The accounting firm was established by
my late father in 1962. At that time, it was a small company with only
two employees and now has grown to an organisation with several
dozens of employees. The firm was found by the first generation of my
father to the present third generation. From the original of business only on accounting and
auditing, through acquisition, reorganisation and consolidation, the business has expanded and
diversified in the development of auditing, accounting, taxation, secretarial financial
management and professional consulting. Thanks for the contributions of partners, accountants,
clients and employees.

In the past sixty years, I am very grateful to be able to witness the development and progress
of accounting firm with the changes over a long period of times. When joining the firm, I still
needed a bulky typewriter to prepare documents, which took a long time to manual delivery.
Until now, documents in electronic form can be delivered to customers instantly. With the
recent epidemic raging, accounting firm has been able to adapt to the changes in society. The
implement of “work from home”, has caused our business to grow rather than deteriorate. I
trust that, even the accounting firm encounters any kinds of difficulties in the future, it can grasp
the opportunities, rise from difficulties and overcome every challenge. Starting from the heart,
it is commendable to testify that all stakeholders can accomplish their vision and mission with
heartfelt.

In recent years, accounting industry is facing a shortage of manpower in the job. It is more
difficult to recruit new employees. Fortunately, Hong Kong School of Commerce also found by
my late father and the accounting firm are complementary to each other in providing new
talents and training, which can train and add value to more accounting personnel and provide
the best talented employees working in the firm and even the accounting industry as a whole.

After sixty years, through thick and thin, I sincerely hope that our accounting firm will carry
forward the past, stick to its mission, update and change and move towards a brighter future.
